Heat embossed Sea Shells

I skipped a season and made a jump from winter to summer with this card! I made the different elements for this card over a period of time, without having a specific design in mind.

I used a cream colored paper for the background and added a blue frame for contrast. I cut out an oval to create a layered effect, using a lattice die cut, with cheese cloth behind it.

The sea shells I made by inking white paper with "old paper" distress ink, before I heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I fussy cut them all and put them together to make an oval frame. It took quite some time, I must admit!

The angel image has been paper pieced, and there's a touch of glitter stickles on her wings.
The banner is stamped on kraft paper, using a KaiserCraft stamp.

I enter this card into these challenges:
1) Make My Monday - Heat Embossing
2) Tuesday Throwdown - #138 Paper Piecing
3) LEJ Designs - #44 Things With Wings
4) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Love the embossed details, the shells look truly special. I love your treatment to the fairy / lady. So sorry I haven't been visiting much. Kinda stuck with some crazy deadlines at work! Don't you just hate it when real life interferes with blogging! LOL!
